Step 02
Initial Consultation
Before your consultation, we'll send you our easy-to-fill-out behavioral survey, which will help give our clinicians a comprehensive picture of your child's medical, behavioral and developmental history. Then we'll schedule a free initial consultation with one of our experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
Your free initial consultation with our BCBA is a great time to can ask questions about ABA therapy and our centers. We'll also go over how the Thrive Treatment Model works, and discuss all the information you've provided us about your child so you can make sure we're the best fit for your family.
Step 03
Clinical Evaluation
Next, you'll bring your child to one of our bright, kid-friendly centers for a clinical evaluation with one of our knowledgeable and compassionate BCBAs. During the evaluation, the BCBA will meet with you to discuss your concerns and then get some one-one-one time with your child for a play-based evaluation using a behavioral assessment (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, PEAK, etc.).
After the evaluation, the BCBA will meet with you briefly to discuss his or her recommendations for ABA therapy and then follow up by sending your child's personalized ABA treatment plan.
We'll also take care submitting all the appropriate documentation to your insurance for authorization of services.
Step 04
Starting Therapy
We know waiting is difficult when you are trying to get help for your child. We help streamline the process to make it as quick and easy as possible. Our centers are accepting new clients, which reduces wait time and helps get your child's therapy started faster.
Most insurance companies review the BCBA's treatment plan before authorizing coverage for ABA therapy. We'll submit all the necessary documentation and keep you updated on the review process. We're committed to starting your child's therapy as soon as possible.
We're looking forward to meeting your child!
Insurance Coverage for ABA Therapy

Thrive Behavior Centers are in-network, or in the process of gaining in-network status, with most major insurance companies.
If we're not in-network with your plan yet, you have options.
Contact us to discuss options for a single case agreement with your insurance provider or for out-of-network coverage.
Note for Potential Clients with Medicaid
Unfortunately Medicaid does not currently pay for ABA therapy for children with autism in Texas. The Texas State Legislature passed the Medicaid Autism Benefit in 2019, but lawmakers have not funded the bill. Advocates continue to work to persuade lawmakers of the urgency of funding this important legislation. For the latest information and what you can do to help, click on this link.
